Renewable Energy Leader Passes

The NeREA wishes to recognize Gary Kuester from Stanton. Gary has been involved in ethanol production in Nebraska for over twenty years and was almost able to complete needed changes to his farm scale ethanol facility. Many NeREA members were able to visit Gary at his facility last Summer. His work in developing the farm scale opportunity will continue through his son and friends. The site will also be a training site for the Renewable Energy Internship as well next Summer. Gary was an early pioneer of fuel ethanol in the state and was a friend to many in the field. His pioneering spirit resulted in the construction of Husker Ag, one of the early and most successful dry mill ethanol plants in the state. We will miss Gary, but his pioneering spirit and love of renewable energy will remain in all of us who knew him.
